Anorexic's don't become anorexic for other people. Different sufferers have different reasons for why they are anorexic but a lot of the time they do it because it allows them to be in control of something in their lives that no-one else can control. It really is a mental disorder rather than anything else.What's the point of being anorexic for beauty's sake when no finds it attractive?
anorexia does not start b/c someone wants to be ';beautiful'; or even skinny. it starts b/c they are lacking control in their life and their eating, or lack there of, is something they can control. it gives the person a sense of power over at least one part of their life when in the rest they have none.
It's a psychological illness, people think they look fat when they look in the mirror, when they're actually not.
it's as much a mental disease as it is a physical one
