Have we become that jaded by our society’s superficial standards?Instead Of ‘Beauty And The Beast’ Shouldn’t We Be Looking For ‘Beauty Within The Beast.”?
Could not have said it better myself. Our teenagers starve themselves to death because of unrealistically thin models are used as the measure of body size for women. Older women of 35 + [when did 35 become older!] have unnecessary %26amp; potentially dangerous surgeries because youth is worshiped. What happened to with age comes wisdom. My sister was told she had no future with a company, although she is considered the top of her field, because she was 42 %26amp; they believed she had no long term potential. She has at least 20 years of working ahead of her. The youth %26amp; beauty thing may effect men, but not nearly as much as it does women in our society. How many older men celebs have you seen with younger women? I agree it affects both, but the standard is still a more jaded for women.
Blessings!Instead Of ‘Beauty And The Beast’ Shouldn’t We Be Looking For ‘Beauty Within The Beast.”?
Nope. Disney has philosophers behind their movies. They mean what they mean haha. It's the obvious state of human observations.
I'm looking into it right now I'm not sure if my wing man will be in a disguise as a beast.
*cringe* Did you really ask that? You know that that is what the story of the ';beauty and the beast'; is about? Of course you do.
Society has superficial standards AND the other kinds like skill, intellect, knowledge, wisdom. Looking good is a must but it isn't the only thing you need. (and usually 'looking good' is as subjective as peanut-butter)
';My 'looking good' gets me in the door, my intelligence keeps me there.';
I think that is the 'standard' for society these days and really has been for some time (historically speaking).
I totally agree with you. I think a person can be beautiful on the outside but have a horrible and ugly personality and the reverse is also true.
for those who live within those superficial standards, YES!
for those who don't ...live a life of communication and understanding of love...
...enjoy!
