A question for someone in the beauty field?

I would like to go to barber school and was wondering if anyone knew the average cost of it plus I was wondering if it would be better if I went to cosmetology school then went after a barbers license?A question for someone in the beauty field?
I've looked into cosmotology schools also. If you want a price you have to directly call the schools, but they run from $10,000+A question for someone in the beauty field?
I don't know how much it costs to go to barber school so I couldn't tell ya. I'd imagine it would be a little cheaper than a cosmetology school. See if you can find some barber schools in your area and check it out :) It doesn't hurt to ask.





Cosmetology will teach you about everything. Hair, make-up, facials and skin care, manicures, pedicures, ethnic hair care, coloring, styling and more. It is a rounded course so you can do about anything in the hair world. It is also more focused around women cuts rather than man hair styles, but you still learn both.
Dunno where you live... but there is a school, Aveda, they have a locations all over i do beleive.. I know starting tuition is 8000 + 200 for books, and 1200 for the hair kit. in the end, for the acadmy, not the institute, you are looking at 10 grand +. It may also vary to where you live.

depending on where you live and what school you chose and if you can get a grant or loan will factor into the cost of school, where iwent to school they offered cosmetology and barbering so you may want to look into that . in florida i know barbers liscense cost more and depending on what you want to do in the industry sometimes barbers have a harder time getting a job in salons.
