He says it means history is how the person sees it, not how it really is. It means that something that may be beautiful to you, may not be beautiful to someone else. You may think a top is beautiful(although, I think that ';cute'; would be a better reaction) but a guy like me will not understand where you're coming from. A guy make think a girl is hot because she has a nice chest and another guy make think she's ugly but a girl with nice legs is better. It's all in opinion.
It means that each person has different views of what is beautiful and what is not. It also means that nobody can tell you what is beautiful.
