What connotations does the word ';beauty'; have?

I tihnk psychology would tell you that human beings naturally associate beauty with good and ugly with bad and you'll probably get alot of answers saying the same thing.





But in my developmental psychology class, my teacher asked us the same thing, and after alot of bs, someone just came out and said that ';I don't know about anyone else, but the people who are beautuiful are usually very snobbish and mean and wont accept and will start treating you badly. You all must've went to a different high school than me. The average people and the nerds were the nice ones.'; And finally everyone put down their bs and agreed.





It's true if you think about it, look at high schools and college campuses. The person with the most beauty you probably wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole, because it always seemed that it was to make up for some meanness underneath.What connotations does the word ';beauty'; have?
